I work on the fourth floor of a large middle school in Gwangju, South Korea. From the office, there is a view of the sandlot where kids have gym class, play after lunch and after school.
Behind the school is a large garden. Grandmothers come here everyday and tend to their vegetables. Every empty lot in Korea is turned into a garden. (See below.)
