Our friends took us hiking to see the temple on Horse Ear Mountain. This temple is famous for many reasons, one being a devotee who stacked stones as a part of his prayer ritual. So there are many stacks of stones around the temple, a tribute to a life of prayer.
Along the road to the temple are a few restaurants and cafes. Our friends took us to a “galbi” restaurant, a beef house! Korea has a well-deserved reputation for great meals, especially beef. This restaurant roasts and smokes the rib slab over an open flame out front. We had such a good meal! We haven’t seen our friends, Mr. Yeom and Jeongsu for quite a while, it was so nice to get caught up again and go for a Sunday drive!
