Most people like to have their own project area, maybe for sewing, painting, models, developing film… I would like to have a wood shop. While we are in Korea, I won’t be buying any good/expensive tools; it’s just not practical. I do, however, still have to teach my son to use tools; to make things. “If you can dream it, you can achieve it.” I tell him. So, we build with boxes. And we can build all day.
Cardboard carpentry is great for a Saturday activity. It’s cheap and easy. Our creations are always a mix of homes, army bases, and army tanks. We play in the box world until it collapses, and then I put it in the recycling bin.
And we’ll do it again next Saturday!
