My son and I went to the university library Sunday afternoon to play Stratego and build a model of a P-51. I have been teaching him strategic thinking while playing Statego: which pieces should go into the fray first, how to watch which pieces I don’t move as to detect bombs and the flag, and how to be cunning. He must have been listening because he won this battle!
I let him do most of the work on the fighter plane. His hands are agile enough for the detail work. I mostly asked leading questions. He did a good job building it and enjoyed flying it home.
