Kid’s grow up and practice swirls of childhood family values and counter-childhood family values; they become themselves. They come home from college with their own ideas–or are the ideas the same, but in the flesh?

Is it possible that a girl can be too unconventional to be of any civil good? And when I meet my father (again), will I recognize him? Will I risk loving him more for his vulnerabilities?

I’ve ridden the train home before. My son will do it too someday. I hope he recognizes me.
