We left earth for a few hours to have lunch on Mars. Since we are on spring break, we had time for the extended flight to get to this rural Martian landscape.


We brought minimal supplies: 1 canteen of water, 4 tins of sardines/herring, 2 tangerines. It was enough for our crew of two. We stayed on the Red Planet for a mere four solar hours before transporting back to Colorado.

Although the unforgiving terrain tested our resolve, our joy stayed true. We enjoyed our time together getting our boots dirty.

Tonight we’ll dream of the journeys to come…
